Commercial Operating Review

An independent review of how a B2B company’s commercial system actually works.

I look at customer journeys, ownership, handoffs, management information, dependencies and the way CRM and operational systems represent the business.

What I review

Operational evidence behind the commercial story

  • how customer relationships and commercial opportunities are managed
  • how sales commitments pass into delivery
  • where customer, pipeline and delivery information is held
  • how management reporting is produced and where it depends on manual reconstruction
  • which commercial activities depend on founders or individual employees
  • where systems, processes and management information no longer match how the business operates
Output

A commercial operating brief

The output is a structured review of observed operating patterns, information gaps, dependencies and questions that may warrant further investigation.

It is designed to complement, not replace, legal, financial, accounting, tax or regulated investment work carried out by appropriately qualified advisers.
