Where the next CRM question may sit after a strong HubSpot implementation.

Independent review of a UK technology services company, based on a published HubSpot optimisation case study and other publicly available company information.

1 · Public business model

Observed

The company is a UK B2B technology services provider serving mid-market organisations.

Its public offer spans cybersecurity, secure networks, backup and recovery, voice and customer-experience technology.

Public material shows separate New Business, Account Management, Project Management and Managed Services responsibilities.

Project-management recruitment material refers to project P&L, work in progress and billing. Service pages describe implementation followed by ongoing support or management.

The commercial model therefore appears to extend beyond initial project sales into delivery, managed service, account development and continuing technical work with existing customers.

2 · Published HubSpot scope

Observed

A London implementation agency published a detailed HubSpot optimisation case study for the company.

The published work included lifecycle redesign, lead-to-opportunity mapping, custom properties, segmentation, lead scoring, attribution, enrichment, automation, reporting and forecasting.

The described commercial flow extends from lead source through SDR and Field Sales to Account Management.

The case study does not describe the company's full current information model, integrations, delivery systems or post-sale commercial controls.

3 · Analytical finding

The published CRM scope is strong commercially. The operating model extends further into delivery and managed service.

This creates a question of representation, not a conclusion about missing functionality.

The relevant test is whether commercially important post-sale activity is visible at account level before it becomes a new Deal.

4 · Areas to test

Five questions

Area Question Why it matters
Sales → Delivery Does the commercial record preserve enough of the sale for Delivery to understand what was actually committed? Commercial commitments can alter delivery economics.
Current account state Can Account Management see the client's current commercial reality rather than only historical Deals? Existing-account decisions depend on current state.
Delivery → Commercial Can a material need or change identified during delivery become visible commercially before a Deal exists? Operational knowledge may otherwise remain outside pipeline.
Recurring services Are future commercial decision points visible early enough to manage deliberately? Recurring revenue can depend on timing and account context.
Account development Can the team distinguish a genuine change in client need from a generic cross-sell opportunity? Expansion should start from client change, not product inventory.
5 · Evidence status

Known. Inferred. Unknown.

The distinction is part of the method.

Published

Known

The company's public service model and team structure, together with the implementation agency's published HubSpot optimisation scope.

Inferred

Hypothesis

Post-sale delivery and managed-service activity may create commercially relevant account information beyond the published CRM flow.

Unknown

Requires client evidence

What is already represented in HubSpot, what sits elsewhere, what is integrated, and whether any of these areas is commercially material.

6 · QBR use

Three questions for the client.

  • Has the operating model materially changed since the original HubSpot scope was designed?
  • Does HubSpot still represent the commercial reality that matters now?
  • Where is commercially important information being created outside the current CRM model?
Public example vs paid review

The public version stops before solution design.

This example shows: business-model reconstruction, comparison with published CRM scope, identification of areas worth testing, and separation of evidence from inference.

The paid review goes further: account-specific evidence, contradictions, prioritisation, detailed discovery questions, information requirements and rationale for the next client conversation.

I do not prescribe fields, objects, workflows or configuration in the public example.

I will establish what changed, what the current implementation appears to cover, and which questions are worth testing next.
